KRAUT SALAD by Marie Gunter

Ingredients
1 Large Can c1Lopped kraut, drained (quart)
1 Green Pepper, chopped
1 Cup celery, chopped
1 Cup Union, chopped
1 sma11 Can Pimento
1 1/2 Cup sugar
1/2 Cup Vinegar
1 tsp. Celery seed
1 small Can water Chestnuts
Directions
(1) Mix first five ingredients, set aside.
(2) Put sugar, Celery seed and Vinegar together and bring to a boil.
(3) Pour vinegar mixture over Kraut Add Water Chestnuts and marinate overnight (This keeps one week in refrigerator)
